Meet Jeanine

Jeanine Brawn, CPDT-KA, NADOI

Jeanine Brawn has been training dogs since 1974, after she started studying dog training in a formal setting. Before that she was training her own dogs while doing informal learning.
She started out teaching her own, then her neighbor's, family's & friend's dogs. From there she started assisting in group classes & then teaching them, as well as continuing with the private lessons, while all along the way continuing her formal studies. These studies are on-going.... learning never stops.
She did part-time Private Dog Training from 1974-1998 and part time Group Classes from 1994-1998... at which point she started teaching both full time.
She enjoys teaching people how to understand, bond, communicate with & train their own dogs by teaching English as a second language through positive methods.
She was one of the founders of Mutt Management... a successful & the first, Doggie Daycare & Training Center in Sarasota Fl. She co-owned & operated it from 1997-2002.

It takes years of hard work studying & attending Educational Courses along with teaching both Group Classes & Private Lessons to achieve and maintain the National Certifications CPDT-KA & NADOI, as well as continuing the Professional status in the APDT.
Update.... Jeanine has entered a calmer phase at home... from having 5 dogs for many, many years,... to now rasing a puppy that is an only dog! Well, some might call it calmer... but Figment can be a handful in his puppy excitement!

Our Saint Berdoodle puppy who was in training as an Assistance Service Dog, but had to career-change and move to Canada because of poor health, the Florida plants and hot climate.

Sadly B.E.N. passed away in 2017.

Jeanine & Resin

At an APDT Conference. After 4 years as a Service Dog, and 2 years in retirement, Resin (a Vizsla) was stolen from his adopted home & has been missing since Feb of 2008

News flash! Resin was recovered 17 months after his disapperance (thanks to his microchip & Sarasota's Animal Services).

Update... he is 11 yrs old now and lives with us.
